NPFL: Cancelling the season or declaring a winner will be unfair to Enyimba, says Coach Fatai Osho

Enyimba International FC Boss Fatai Osho has insisted that ending the current NPFL season or declaring a winner due to the Coronavirus outbreak will be unfair, especially to the league defending champions.

Speaking to Cornerstonenewsng.comOsho said his side has up to five outstanding matches to play because they had represented the country well at the continent before crashing out unfortunately in the Quarter finals.

“If the league is ended right now, it means teams that crash out from the group stages of the Confederation cup will be ahead of us which is very unfair. He said.

“No winner should be declared, and the season should not be canceled!

“We were busy representing the country on the continent, we could not execute most of our domestic league matches due to this engagements,”

“It would be a big shame and it will be that you are punishing the team for doing well and putting up an impressive performance at the continental level for the country, ”

Enyimba is 13 points behind league leaders Plateau United, but have five outstanding games, with 13 round of games left in the league to play.
