NPFL: Rangers Welcome Kwara United, Abia Warriors Seek To Extend Streak

Six games will be on offer in the Nigeria Professional Football League on Sunday with four others postponed due to the involvement of champions Plateau United, MFM, Akwa United and Enyimba in continental matches next week, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Four-time champions Enugu Rangers who are eighth in the table will host Kwara United at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.

The Flying Antelopes lost 1-0 against Niger Tornadoes last weekend and will be keen to return to winning ways against the Minna club.

Kwara United who occupy last position in the table are unbeaten in three games under new coach Abubakar Bala.

At the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers United and Nasarawa United will battle for maximum points.

Both teams lost their last games 2-1 against Katsina United and MFM FC respectively.

In Umuahia, Abia Warriors have a chance to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games when they take on Katsina United, while Go Round FC will do battle with Niger Tornadoes at the Krisdera Hotel Stadium, Omoku, Rivers State.

New Heartland Turkish coach Mehmet Tayfun will face his first baptism of fire when his team come up against El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri.

Both teams are battling hard to escape the drop and will need maximum points in the game to boost their survival hopes.

Sunshine Stars, in 17th place, will welcome Wikki Tourists to the Akure Sports Complex.
