Ogu, Joel Obi In Action As Hapoel Beer-Sheva, Torino Win

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu made his 17th Israeli Premier League start of the season for Hapoel BeerSheva who defeated Beiter Jerusalem 3-1 in Wednesday’s Championship play-off clash, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The win was Hapoel Beer-Sheva’s second in the Championship play-offs.

Ben Sahar gave Hapoel Beer-Sheva a third minute lead in the encounter before Niv Zrihan scored twice in the 39th and 50th minutes. Erik Sabo scored a consolatory goal in the 53rd minute.

The game was Ogu’s 30th appearance this season in all competitions and he has scored twice.

His compatriot Anthony Nwakaeme returned to the substitutes bench for the Camels after three weeks out with injury.

Nwakaeme has scored six goals and provided four assists in 17 league games for Hapoel Beer-Sheva this season.

Hapoel Beer-Sheva will face Maccabi Tel Aviv on Monday in their next game.

In Italy, Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi came off the substitutes bench in the 73rd minute for Daniele Baselli to make his 20th Serie A appearance of the season for Torino who defeated Crotone 4-1 on Wednesday.

Andrea Belotti scored a hat-trick and Iago Falque added a strike. Marco Davide Faraoni grabbed a late goal in the 90th minute for Crotone.

Obi has made 15 starts in 20 Serie A games for Torino so far this term. He has also scored five goals.
