Oladapo optimistic about Super Eagles chances against Togo

Enyimba of Aba midfielder, Austine Oladapo is optimistic that the CHAN Eagles has what it takes to turn their game with Sparrows of Togo around.

 

The Imama Amapakabo tutored team were hammered 4-1 in the 1st leg fixture in Lome three weeks ago, before they got another 2-1 win over their Nigerian counterparts in WAFU Cup recently.

 

With the return leg of the CHAN qualifiers holding next week in Agege township stadium, Oladapo however believed the home based Eagles can turn the table around.

 

“The game with Togo is one the CHAN Eagles can win with more than a 3-0 goal margin.”

 

“All what we need do is to play as a team, make the most of the goal scoring chances and don’t lose focus until after qualification has been secured.”

 

On the People’s Elephants preparations ahed of their CAF Confederations Cup game against TS Galaxy of South Africa, the former Gombe United midfilder said the team are leaving no stone unturned.

 

“We’re making the most out of the camping as our preparations for the CAF Play-Off game has been tough and going to plans.

 

“My teammates and I have been sweating it out in the practice sessions perfecting the different match plans, tactics and working on our weakness since arriving Otta.

 

“There’s a warm-up game against MFM FC of Lagos billed for Wednesday by noon, is one we’ll use to put all what we have learnt to practice.

 

Oladapo is one of the regular players in the instrumental in the success of Enyimba over the years .

 

He played pivotal role in the team’s league success last season.
