Onome Ebi Confident of Falcons Revival against South Korea

Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi says the must beat South Korea when they clash in second Group A game of the ongoing 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Wednesday.

The African champions suffered a 3-0 defeat against former World champions Norway in their opening game in the competition at the Stade Auguite Delaune, Reims on Saturday.

The Thomas Dennerby side are aware that anything short of victory against the Asians is a disaster, Ebi who is making her fifth appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup agreed.

“I didn’t expect what happened [against Norway] but it’s football – you lose some and you win some,” Ebi told FIFA.com.

“We didn’t get the goals, so we are going to learn from what happened and work on those lessons for the second game.”

“We don’t have anything to leave behind in the Korea game. We are going all out because the loss in our first game was a very big one. We will go all out – for nothing but victory.”

South Korea lost their opening game 4-0  France on Friday to kick start the tournament.
