“Pay us our salaries”, Abu Azeez calls out Warri Wolves over unpaid salaries

Nigerian international Abu Azeez has called out his club Warri Wolves on social media demanding salaries owed to him and other players.

Azeez who is the captain of the Nigeria beach soccer team, ‘the Super Sand Eagles’ tweeted at the club’s social media handle on Friday night urging the club to yield to the demand of the players and pay what is due to them.

“Dear @Warri_Wolves_FC This is actually a cry for help to appeal and beg for our salaries to be released, we have families out there, we have ourselves to take care of, we  Have gotten responsibilities to settle, we have problems to sort”. He tweeted.

Unconfirmed reports have it that the Nigerian professional football league outfit has failed to pay their players before the season was suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It would also be recalled that the players of Katsina United also planned to stage a protest against the club over unpaid seven months salary.

Although the management of the club through the Secretary of the club Alhaji Sani Tinau later admitted that the club is only owing the players, but only for four months and not seven months reported by the players.

“I wish to state here that Katsina United FC is not owing the players seven months as stated in that malicious article, we are only owing them four months. He disclosed.

“We are already working on how to pay all the outstanding salaries as the government has already given us the approval and I am sure the players and officials’ salaries will be paid very soon.” He assured.
