The Jigawa State Police command has arrested most wanted notorious robbery kingpin in Dutse, Jigawa State. The suspect, Bello (aka Governor )25 -years- old was paraded by the police for alleged murder and armed robbery.
The commissioner of police in the state, Mr. Bala Zama Senchi, told journalists yesterday in his office that Governor had been on the police wanted list for a long period of time.
Mr. Senchi said Governor was arrested after he and his accomplice, Shanono Ya’u to rob Dan Azumi Yusuf at his residence in Madobi area of Dutse.
The suspect allegedly confessed to have been responsible for series of robberies and motorcycle snatching in the area which he disposed to buyers.
Senchi said residents of Dutse would have relief as the mastermind of robberies in the area have been arrested. He said the suspect and his accomplice would be charged to Court for armed robbery and other related offenses.
