Former Enyimba star Christian Jacob shot dead along Umuola road in Aba the commercial city of Abia state, he was attacked by armed robbers on Wednesday evening.
He was immediately shot dead after he was dispossessed of his mobile phone by his assailants, leaving his lifeless body on the scene.
According to reports gathered by brila.net, the deceased was coming back from training and these hoodlums attacked him and requested for his phone, and was shot repeatedly.
Christian Jacob’s nicknamed ‘Nkita ara’, he was a close friend of former Eagles defender Obinna Nwaneri.
Chris played for Enyimba Football Club Aba, Iwuanyanwu National Football club of Owerri, Imo state, FC Sheriff of Moldova and others.
