Nigerian rower, at the maiden African Beach Games, Moses Michael has described the conditions in Sal, Cape Verde as idea ahead of the commencement of hostilities on Friday.
The team of two rowers which also includes Esther Tokoh will compete in three events at the games.
In a chat with brila.net, Michael said adapting to the conditions in Sal have been near seamless, despite having to practice and subsequently compete with different structured boats.
‘Training has been going very well, the difference is that the boats are slightly bigger than the ones we used in Nigeria. The clime is ok; the water is just as familiar as the one back home.
‘We are officially starting on the 14th where I’ll compete in the single same as Esther (Tokoh) and we will also compete in the mixed double.
‘And we are sure we’ll win medals, we’re very very sure,’ Moses said.
