Shorunmu urges Rohr to encourage competition for Francis Uzoho in Eagles squad

Former Super Eagles Goalkeeper and trainer, Ike Shorunmu has advised Coach Gernot Rohr to allow more competition for Francis Uzoho’s Number One position.

In a brief chat with Brila.net’s Yinka Oyedele, the former Besiktas shot-stopper said that the Super Eagles goalkeeping position should be thrown open for invited goalkeepers.

However, the former Eagles Number one opined that Francis Uzoho should be encouraged so as not to feel demoralized in any way but be made to see the importance of continuous hard work.

Shorunmo says no one should be made to think he has the national team shirt for keep already just because such player featured for Nigeria at the world cup.

The Super Eagles Coach is expected to announce his 24-man list for September’s AFCON 2019 qualifier against Seychelles today.
