Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has sent a message of support to his teammates ahead of tonight’s (Friday) international friendly against Poland in Wroclaw, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Mikel did not travel to Poland for Friday’s friendly due to Chinese work permit issues.
The Tianjin Teda star midfielder, however, sent a goodwill message to his teammates, backing them for victory.
“Sending all my support to the boys in Poland! Tonight I am with the fans,” Mikel wrote via his verified Twitter handle just hours to the match.
Mikel should be available for the Super Eagles next friendly against Serbia in London on Tuesday.
The former Chelsea star scored two goals (3-1 win against Algeria and 4-0 win against Cameroon) for the Super Eagles during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
