Super Falcons Coach urges Fans to Believe despite Opening Game defeat

If ever there was a doubt that Nigeria is the clear underdog in group A at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, it was more than confirmed in the Super Falcons’ opening game against Norway.

Thomas Denenrby’s side slumped to a 3-0 defeat at the Stade Auguste-Delaune, Reims on Saturday.

However, the Super Falcons coach has echoed the need to keep fighting and has vowed his team will not roll over.

“When it comes to sport, never ever give up. We have to fight for 180 minutes more, plus added time. A game can change in the last minute so we will work very hard for it and I can promise that we’ll never give up,” Dennerby said.
