Warrior’s midfielder Isiaka Olawale mourns El kanemi’s relegation

El kanemi warrior’s midfielder Isiaka Olawale has expressed been pained and hurt following the team’s relegation from the Nigeria top flight after losing 2-0 away to Heartland FC of Owerri in one of the NPFL matchday 22 fixtures which meant the team finished tenth eventually after a run of 4 consecutive defeats.

Olawale speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the team is dejected at a time like this after seeing everything turn south just within the space of three to four weeks from a promising campaign which looks like they could finish top of the pile to a sad end which ultimately ended their stay in the Nigeria professional football league.
“As a footballer anything that comes your way like this, you just have to take it. It was so painful to have ended it this way because everything just changed within the space of three to four weeks.
We feel so bad because a point against Heartland would still have been enough but we lost at the end and it was painful.”
Elkanemi will now campaign next season in the Nigeria National League after been dumped out of the NPFL this season.
