Why NWPL won’t get pre-season tournament yet

Several months after the conclusion of the NWPL regular season, most teams have been out of action, a situation the NWFL Chief Operating Office Ayo Abdulrahman admits is disturbing but insists is regrettably unavoidable owing to the financial constraints of the league body as well as teams.

In a chat with brila.netthe NWFL officer stressed that the body couldn’t afford to host a tournament below required standards, especially, for the sake of players welfare and their teams.

He maintains that the challenge of pre-season tournaments cut across , but it is even more difficult for women’s sport and in this case football.
