Boxing heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua will present his title belts to Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari in the coming days.
The date is yet to be announced, but Laolu Akande, who is the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President, confirmed the new development in a briefing with State House correspondents on behalf of the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare.
Akande told newsmen after the Federal Executive Council on Wednesday in Abuja, that Joshua who defeated Andy Ruiz Jr to reclaim his titles will visit the country soon and pay a courtesy visit to the number one citizen of the country.
“The Minister of Sports announced that Anthony Joshua will be presenting his belts to the President in a matter of days,”Akande stated.
