Nigeria midfielder Afeez Aremu is delighted to help his club IK Start sealed promotion to the Norwegian Eliteserien on Wednesday.
Aremu and his teammates suffered a 4-3 defeat to Lillestrom in the second leg of their playoffs clash on Wednesday night, but it was enough to guarantee promotion to the elite division.
IK Start however won the first leg 2-1 on last week Saturday 2-1, which proved vital in the promotion race.
Aremu who was in action for IK Start in both contest took to the social media to celebrate the success.
“WHAT A NIGHT I CANT FORGET IN MY LIFE, hei Start,” Aremu tweeted.
Aremu scored one goal in 26 league appearances for the club this season.
