Youngest FIFA badged referee Quadri picked for World Cup qualifiers

FIFA has appointed Nigerian officials led by Nigeria’s youngest FIFA badged referee Quadri Adebimpe to superintend over the 2022 FIFA World Cup preliminary qualifying match between Gambia and Angola scheduled for Baku on Friday, 6th September 2019.

The match, scheduled for the Independence Stadium in the city of Bakau, will also see Nigerians Celestine Igudia (assistant referee 1), Samuel Pwadutakam (assistant referee 2) and Abdullahi Shuaibu (fourth official) in action.
Rashid Sanusi from Sierra Leone will serve as the referee assessor while Liberian Andy Quamie will be match commissioner.
24-year old Adebimpe is a member of the Lagos Referees Association. He’s sanctioned by world football body, FIFA, and officiates continental matches.
In December 2015, the young referee received his new FIFA badge in an event that had former Nigeria’s Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, in attendance.
According to FIFA, he went international as a referee in 2016.
Adebimpe already has some Nigeria Professional Football  League (NPFL) games under his belt and occasionally officiates in continental matches.
