Zaha or Me! Iwobi warns Arsenal Bosses, decide next transfer move carefully

Reports in England have suggested Alex Iwobi could force a move away from Arsenal if the club secure the services of Ivory Coast international Wilfred Zaha this summer.

Iwobi, 23, is an Arsenal academy product and signed his first professional contract in 2015, but whilst a first team member isn’t a regular starter.

On Sunday, Sky Sports put up a quote suggesting the player was ready to quit should the club go through with their interest in bring Zaha from Selhurst park, the post was taken down later.

However, The Sun have been quoted by numerous sources to have spoken with the Nigerian, who recently helped his country to a third place finish at the AFCON 2019 in Egypt.

“I am not one to chicken out. I have had it all over the years, being told I’m not good enough,” he told the Sun per Sean Gallagher [talkSports].

“So whenever the chance comes I always try and prove I should be starting.

“But it’s going to be difficult if Zaha comes. He will add more stress.

“I am up for the fight but the only time I would consider leaving is if I am not playing as much as I would like to.

“Obviously, my joy is to play football and not just sit out.

“If it comes to that I would have no choice but to leave. But I would always put up a fight to play — that is what I have done all my life.

“We have big stars already, so by adding another one I’ll just have to prove I can do better than them.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal Boss Unai Emery has spoken on the possibility of the club bringing in more signings.

“I want to sign one, two, three or four players,” the Spaniard said, but also sues for patience to ‘ensure they are the right players.’
