Erstwhile Super Eagles assistant coach Joe Erico has stated that he is sure the Super Eagles will have no reason not to make it out of the group stage of the 2019 AFCON group stage following the draws that pitched Nigeria alongside Guinea, Madagascar and Burundi in group B of the 2019 AFCON.
Erico speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Eagles have a favourable draw and would only need to guide against getting complacent in the group.
“This one is better for us because we only need to rise through. There is nothing like maybe at all, we’re going to qualify form that group.
“We shouldn’t be complacent though, we have to work hard for it. All I will advice is that we take every game seriously.”
Nigeria’s Super Eagles remain the favourites to qualify from the group as group winners and will be based in the city of Alexandria.
