Nigeria’s Omotayo targets progression at ITTF world championship in Budapest

National team table tennis player and 2018 Commonwealth games Silver medalist Jide Omotayo has set his sight on progressing at the ongoing at the International Table Tennis Federation world championship in Budapest which started with qualifying games over the weekend. 

Omotayo speaking in a telephone chat with www.brila.net said he wants to make the main draw of the competition and successfully navigate his way through the qualifiers and preliminaries.
Omotayo who lost yesterday promised to give his all in the game later today so as to aid his qualification to the main draw.
“My target is to qualify for the main draw at this year’s championship. I lost the first qualifying game but I still have another opportunity to rewrite the script later today with a  victory. I am calm and feeling good about my chances.”
