Afeez Aremu rates La Liga over EPL

The glamour and media hype around the EPL is tempting to most players, but not for former U20 Midfielder Afeez Aremu, who argues the league doesn’t look after young talents.

Aremu, who currently plays for Norwegian second division side IK Start, says England’s elite football league doesn’t care much for young players.

The midfielder told Cornerstonenewsng.comthat he rates La Liga high in that regards; alongside the Ligue Un and Belgium’s Jupiler League.

“I will make a choice to play in La Liga, because that league encourages a lot of young talents like Samuel Chukwueze and others, if I were to rush into teams in the Premier League, I will end up going on loan,” Azeez said.

“Even Serie A too, is another league that does not encourage young players to thrive.

“I will like to be focused and start from some where, like here in IK start in Norway; this place is just a stepping stone for me so, if I decided to choose another league to play in, I will choose Spain, Belgium, France because there are young talents doing great there.”
