Championship: League restart for Ajayi ends in disappointing draw, Adarabioyo scores for Blackburn

Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi played all the minutes as West Bromwich Albion restart their campaign for promotion to the premier league with a draw against Birmingham City at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

Ajayi and his teammates could have gone into half time break with at least three goals ahead, but they were guilty of wasted all opportunities.

The visitors later grew into the game in the second half and made life difficult for the Baggies and both side had to settle for a point at the end.

West Brom remains on top of the table with 71 points after 38 matches, the same points with second-placed Leeds United who still has a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Tosin Adarabioyo was on the score sheet for his English Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers in their 3 – 1 win over Bristol City on Saturday.

Adarabioyo is a highly rated defender who is on loan at the championship from reigning English champions Manchester City and he’s still eligible to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The defender started the game for Blackburn Rover and scored his goal sixteen minutes after the restart to put his side 2-1 before Adam Armstrong scored the sealer in the 71st minutes.

Meanwhile, Corry Evans scored Blackburn’s first goal of the game to cancel out Jamie Paterson’s 34th-minute opening goal for the visitors.
