D’Tigers won’t underrate Afrobasket 2021 qualifying opponents – Odaudu

Assistant coach of Nigeria’s senior men basketball national team D’Tigers Ogoh Odaudu has stated that Nigeria will not in any way underrate her Afrobasket, 2021 qualifying opponents, following Friday’s draw that housed Nigeria alongside Rwanda and Mali with one more spot to be filled by February 2020.

Odaudu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said qualification won’t in anyway be difficult for Nigeria with three teams advancing in a qualifying group of four.
He added that Nigeria is equally no stranger to the teams drawn with having faced both Mali and Rwanda in the qualifiers for the 2019 FIBA world cup in China.
“Of course from the group we know we can pick one game because it’s the first three from every group that will qualify for Afrobasket.
So I think it’s a good draw for us, we are not playing any strange faces, we are playing the same teams we played over the world cup qualifiers but it doesn’t mean we are going to take it for granted.”
