Duru hopes to excel in WAFU for late brother

National team player Ebube Duru has stated that he hopes to excel with Nigeria at the WAFU cup of nations now more to honour his slain brother who got caught in a crossfire shootout in Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, on Tuesday.

Duru speaking in a chat with brila.net said he hopes to help fulfil the dream of his younger brother who was also part of the National U17 team before been dropped from the team that flew to Turkey for the Turkey invitational tournament said he will double his effort to do well for Nigeria and make his younger brother proud.
“It’s very painful I have to just move on, I think it’s another thing now to make me double my effort. He told me before I travelled that he wants to play football to the highest level, he couldn’t achieve and I think that’s one thing I owe him so I’ll try my best and make sure I play this game to the highest level and make him proud.”
