Eid-El-Fitr– Police read riot acts to cultists others in Delta

Commissioner of Police in charge of Delta State Police Command, Mr. Ari Muhammed Ali, has read the riot acts to hoodlums, especially cultists to steer clear of the state during the forthcoming Eid-El-Fitr festivities slated for next week Sunday and Monday.


The CP also assured Muslim faithful in the State of the provision of adequate security and free flow of traffic in view of the festival.


in a statement by Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe,” the CP has warned cultist and other mischief makers to steer clear of the state as the command is more than ever before; ready to deal decisively with anybody or group of persons, who try to disrupt the peace in the state. To this end, the CP has ordered a massive deployment of personnel, which includes: special constabularies across the state, for the purpose of providing adequate security in Muslim praying grounds and strategic locations in the state. The CP has directed all DPOs to intensify raids of the criminal hideouts and black spots within the Command.


” The CP adjured the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Operations Officers, and all Heads of Departments of the Command, to employ means of ensuring thorough supervision of personnel deployed for the actualization of peace and tranquility throughout the state during and after the celebrations.


“The CP, on behalf of his management team, officers, and men of the command wishes all Muslim faithful a hitch-free, and a happy Eid-El-Fitr– celebration”.
