“Her phone kept saying number busy as we kept calling. At a point, she now called back crying and only asked that her UBA account number be sent to the phone and the phone went dead. We made several efforts to reach her, thereafter, but it wasn’t possible.”

Madam Onoh, a widow of 12 years, said her first daughter, Joy, who was waiting to be mobilised for the mandatory National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, decided to be self-employed and got herself engaged in sales of bouquet T-shirts, men’s shirts, and other women’s wears online and even did home delivery services.
