Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ike Shorunmu has called on Eagles handler, Gernot Rohr to try and focus on the Super Eagles, rather than other teams in our group ahead of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Nigeria is one of this year’s favorites to win the tournament in Egypt, which will see 23 other teams also contesting to get their hands on the trophy.
Speaking with www.brila.net, Shorunmu also added that the players should not get worried over top countries like Cameroun and Senegal, as such countries should be wary of the Eagles, being a powerhouse and treat to their chances.
“The only thing I will just say is that we should be focused, I don’t like to talk much on the teams in our group, the teams we will play against”.

“The only thing I want us to deliberate more on is our own team, how prepared we are, and of course the spirit of the tournament will surely depend on how prepared and ready we are for the Mundial”.
