John Ogu makes bold move, writes LA Liga, Serie A and Premier League declaring his intentions

Ahead of the summer transfer window, Nigeria International, John Ogu has redeclared his intentions to play in the premier league, La Liga or the Serie A in a tweet tagging the leagues’ official Twitter handles.

He wrote “Dear @premierleague, @LaLigaEN, @SerieA, my dream to play in your league is still much alive. I am so looking for them challenges”.

 

Ogu received words of encouragement from fans who retweeted and urged him to keep believing, some also advise him on the best league to join.

 

Despite stating his intention, Ogu believes in ‘destiny’ and that he doesn’t have to force things, Whatever is meant or predestined to happen will happen;

 

 

In April 2019 the Nigeria international John Ogu admitted that he wanted to leave his Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva at the end of the season as his contract ends this summer.

After playing in Slovenia, Spain, and Portugal, Ogu joined Hapoel Beer Sheva in September 2014 after his contract with Academica de Coimbra was ended by mutual consent.

 

The 30-year-old, who has won six domestic titles in Israel, will leave after five years at the club, as he seeks fresh challenges elsewhere.

John Ogu’s is very optimistic of his chances in the top European leagues “I think I have the ability and the skills to achieve success elsewhere, to continue my career in Germany or Spain.”

Ogu’s time in Israel also saw him recalled to the national team as he was part of the Super Eagles squad at the 2018 World Cup in Russia though he failed to make an appearance in Russia.
