Super Eagles and Lobi stars defender Ebube Duru has stated that the Makurdi based NPFL side are out and motivated by the desire to prove that the league title won by the club after sudden end to the league at Week 24 back in 2018 was no fluke and hence determined to ensure they stay top for as long as possible following Sunday’s 2-1 win over Nasarawa united.
Duru speaking in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid the Pride of Benue is determined to show everyone that they deserve to be crowned league champions yet again and this they will hold on to for as long as possible stressing clearly that Lobi stars have become a big threat to the other contending NPFL teams in the league.
“Lobi stars has become a threat to other teams in the league and a big team also. So we are still keeping that same spirit and if you notice from that time they gave us the league title, we have been doing well in the league and even in the continental games. So it was not a fluke for us. So we know nothing is going to hinder this league and at the end of the day we will become the league champion.”
