NFF Responds to Allegation of Tampering with Players List, Bribery in Flying Eagles

Allegations of bribery, tampering and a general act of sabotage are stories emerging from Nigeria’s failed attempt at a title campaign at the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup and the stories have been credited to Head Coach Paul Aigbogun.

However, the Nigeria Football Federation have swiftly denied the allegations, describing them as “mere fabrications, a figment of the author’s imagination and should not be taken seriously.”

In a thread on Wednesday Morning, the FA through it’s official twitter handle provided a rebuttal; disclaiming Aigbogun granted any interview revealing any such details as published by All Nigeria Soccer.

“it can only the wild imaginations of the writer who despite quoting an imaginary source, never attributed same to anyone,” a part of the NFF thread read.

It has come to the notice of the Nigeria Football Federation that a spurious message has been doing the rounds on social media with the aim of denting the image of the Flying Eagles coach Mr Paul Aigbogun and by extension the Federation. /1. Thread.
