NFF scribe Sanusi laments Covid-19 impact on Nigerian football

General secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has lamented the impact of the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic on Nigerian football.

Sanusi speaking in a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid the lack of activity has affected the Federation in the areas of potential sponsors and possible earnings from international engagement, players’ career opportunities and potential transfers with clubs also getting affected as well as the league.
“The more you’re playing football, the more you attract sponsors and the more also you discover talents and not also that, the more also you’re able to give players opportunity to discover themselves and probably become economically viable and get clubs both at home and foreign but when this thing is not there, there are some that it can even ruin their careers. Some players when they pick up form, they need to continue. “
