Nigerian Striker Besto Azu on Shutting down Racist Chants in Stadiums

Walking off the pitch won’t quite down or quell racist chants; a malaise that’s prevalent in the game across Europe says Bosnia based Nigerian forward Besto Azu.

A January move from Greek fourth division side, A.P.S. Zakynthos, was necessary after the club and player fell out over protracted “financial issues”.

Besto picked up his career again in the Bosnian top flight with NK Jedinstvo Bihac CF, and the attacker, who says the best way to silence racists inside football grounds is to score goals and win games, admits that racism is a growing scourge in Europe.

In a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.com, Besto Azu commended the efforts of the sport’s apex governing body to stem the trend within arenas.
