Many people were killed and others injured when armed robbers raided a commercial bank in Offa,Kwara state.
Among those that were killed were two Policemen ,a Paramilitary official and a popular Motor Mechanic.
The body of the dead and those that were injured were taken to the hospital.
The robbers were said to be firing in a commando style,forcing everybody to run for cover while the Policemen who came on a distress call,exchange gun firing with the hoodlums
At the end of the gun duel,two Policemen were shot while dead body of score of civilian were evacuated from the scene.
spokesman disclosed that the troops have been mobilised on a special operation to comb the general area and arrest any fleeing bandit.
