Former Nigeria international Raphael Chukwu-Ndukwe has stated that the decision of the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation to hand Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr a contract extension will help maintain continuity in the team.
Chukwu-Ndukwe speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said he believes the decision to continue with the coach will be good for the growth of the national team.
He also added that definitely there will be an expectation on the shoulders of the Franco-German coach to improve and better his previous achievement which is what employers will normally expect of employees.
“I think what Pinnick did is the best for Nigeria Football renewing his contract, he has worked with a bunch of good players and they have been together for a while, so let them continue in the same way and I think he has done well as far as Nigeria is concerned.
He qualified for nations cup and world cup so I think what we will do is give him that chance, your employer will always want you to improve but I think it’s a good idea to give him that contract.”
