Nigeria international, Umar Sadiq has joined Italian second division side, Perugia on loan till the end of the season.
Umar joined Glasgow Rangers on loan from his Italian club AS Roma back in the summer but deal with Steven Gerrard‘s side was cut short due to lack of playing time.
After the disappointing loan with Rangers , AS Roma has now decided to loan him to the second division side to help revive his career.
With Rangers, Umar only appeared in five matches with most as a substitute and he was surplus to requirements at the Scottish Premier league side.
Sadiq was part of Nigeria’s U-23 side at the 2016 Rio Olympics which won bronze under the tutelage of coach Samson Siasia.
Sadiq joined Roma in the 2015/2016 season but has so far failed to establish himself as a regular for the Serie A club.
