Sunshine Stars of Akure has confirmed the appointment of Gbenga Ogunbote as their new Head Coach for the 2020-2021 season.
The Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL side made the announcement on their social media handle on Tuesday.
“The Oracle is back!
Gbenga Ogunbote has signed a deal to start a second spell with us as coach from the 2020/21 season.
Details after his presentation at our conference room in due course” the club said on Twitter.
Ogunbote returned to the Owena Whales after parting ways with Lobi stars of Makurdi last month.
Ogunbote previously managed the club between 2009 and 2012, where he led them to the semi-final of the CAF Champions League.
