Rivers United midfielder Peter Ubakanma has hailed the Club’s latest signing Omar Toffic as one of the best playmakers in the Nigeria Professional Football League but insists his must fight for his place in the team.
Omar Toffic arrived at the Port Harcourt based team last week on loan after a torrid time in Enyimba International of Aba where he was not given enough time to prove his worth.
Ubakanma who has been one of the revelations in the River United team this season told Brila.net’s Seyi Alao that Rivers United is the home of best players in the league and Toffic is not an exception.
The fast and energetic midfielder added that the Ghanaian arrival will boost the competition in the team, which is good for the technical crew.
“He will be a good signing for us and I believe he will help us in some situation because he’s a quality player and one of the best playmakers around.”
Ubakanma added that he’s not ready to give up his place in the team and warned that Omar Toffic must fight for his place.
“My desire is to continue playing regularly for the Club and that’s a dream of every player “,
“I believe everyone must work hard to get into the team now and I’m ready to do everything to protect my place because I want to continue my development”.
