Kano Pillars midfielder Nzube Anazemba says revenge will be on their mind today as they face Rangers International of Enugu at the ongoing NPFL Championship playoff at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
Anazemba revealed to brila.net that it will be a grudge meeting for them as last year’s Federation Cup final colapse is still fresh in their mind where the sai maisugida let a 3 goal lead slip only for the Flying Antelopes to eventually win on penalties.
“Today’s game, we are going into it flasing our mind back to what happened to us last season at the cup final and it will not repeat itself because we had a discussion last night and i am sure we would come out victorious.”
Pillars drew their first game against Akwa United, caused the biggest surprise of the championship with a 2-0 defeat of Enyimba in the second game before beating whipping boys, FC IfeanyiUbah 2-1 on Saturday.
Responding to how the playoff has been thus far, the midfielder said he was satisfied with the level of coordination.
The leaders, Kano Pillars can automatically qualify for next season’s CAF Champions League, a win today will take them to 10 points. The game will kick off by 3.00 p.m.
