Former Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger at 69 showed he has more than just a brilliant football mind as he accelerated away from former Ballon d’Or winner Zinedine Zidane in a charity match in Bordeaux. Born in Strasbourg and raised in Duttlenheim to an entrepreneurial family, Wenger was introduced to football by his father, the longest-serving and most successful in the Arsenal’s history spent his playing career in the lower leagues in France.

Meanwhile, Zidane won two Serie A titles, one La Liga title, one Champions League, the World Cup, Euro 2000 and the 1998 Ballon d’Or during his distinguished playing career.

The former Arsenal manager was pictured being tugged back by the Real Madrid manager in a match which pitted former football and rugby stars against each other, playing half of each sport.

He has been out of work since leaving Arsenal last summer after a 22-year spell at the north London club.
