D’Tigers assistant coach Abdurahman Muhammed has stated clearly that the lack of Basketball league action in Nigeria will reduce the chances for home based players to be part of the Basketball team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Abdurahman told Cornerstonenewsng.comthat the only reason the home based basketballers will be considered is if the League is in progress.
According to him, it will serve as an avenue to see this players in action, and ascertain their form and what they have to offer in the National team.
”We never had a league this year and it is a difficult thing for us to see and pick these players for the national team, he said.
”If there is a league, yes coaches will pick for the national team; he emphasized.
