A woman, Nanko Happiness Emmanuel has allegedly hacked her husband’s new wife, Napre Blessing Emmanuel to death.
The wives were fighting over an undisclosed matter which degenerated to a fisticuff that led to the tragedy.
A witness who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that Happiness who is the senior wife allegedly hit Blessing with a wooden object on her head during a fight between them on April 7.
“Happiness also used a hoe to cut Blessing’s head and body which eventually resulted in her death”.
Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Bolaji Salami while parading the suspect, said the body of the new wife has been deposited at the General Hospital morgue in Akure, adding that investigation has commenced.
He said: “On April 7, at Sunshine Garden Estate, Oda, Akure, a fight ensued between two ladies married to one husband. During the fight, the senior wife whose name is Nanko Happiness
Emmanuel, used a wooden object to hit her junior counterpart, Napre Blessing Emmanuel, on the head and also used a hoe to cut her head and body which resulted in her death.
“The suspect was arrested and she’s currently in Police custody while the corpse was deposited at the General Hospital Mortuary, Akure,” he added.
