Dilichukwu urges Dennerby to change his starting line up against Korea

Former Football chief Dilichukwu Onyedinma has called on CoachThomas Dennerby to ensure he makes some changes in his line up ahead of tomorrow’s make or break clash against South Korea at the ongoing 2019 FIFA women’s world cup in France.

Korea’s margin of defeat by France, who thumped them 4-0 at the Parc des Princes in Paris in the championship opening match, means Nigeria is third in the pool and its a 24 –team tournament.

The African champions will be in good stead to reach the Round of 16 if they brush the Koreans aside on Wednesday and hold France to a stalemate in Rennes on 17th June. They can then hope to be among the four best third-placed teams to advance from the group stage.

Speaking with www.brila.net, Dilichukwu further added that the gaffer should add a couple of more hungrier and deadlier players, as scoring goals remains very important for every football match, especially in looking to qualify from the group stage.

“The best option is always to make some changes, but I believe 2,3,4 or 1,2,3 changes and you get a better result.

I think the best he has to do is to consider the starting eleven, make some changes and then pick those who will come later”.

“There are people who are hungrier, and with more passion for goals, just like he made a couple of changes and the game changed in the second half”.

“Their second half was better than the first half.

No matter how wonderful you play, if you don’t count goals, you have not played”.
