A truck yesterday crushed its conductor at Iyana Isolo, along the Oshodi/ Apapa Expressway, Lagos.
The truck was involved in an alone accident.
It was gathered that the truck without number plate was driving outward Isolo, heading towards Cele when the driver tried to negotiate a bend, on reaching Iyana Isolo under the bridge, the truck entered a ditch on the road killing its conductor.
A trader under the bridge, Babatunde Jonah, explained that ” this is not the first time vehicles would be involved in an accident here because of the bad spot. But none has claimed life until today.
“When the truck got here( pointing at the bad spot) the truck head got stuck.
While the driver was trying to riggle his way out, the faulty truck shifted from where it was. Unfortunately, the motor boy got stuck in between. We only heard him crying.
The driver was alerted, he stopped but nobody could rescue the boy. He died on the spot “.
